Aloo Paneer and Methi Tikki

This tikki is a healthy version of your favourite aloo tikki with extra protein from paneer.

This is a perfect healthy appetizer for whole family. You can either prepare this tikki easily in minutes or make in advance and freeze them. Yes it can be freeze well. Just thaw it and fry whenever you want. This is also a better evening snack option which is so good for health also. Dipping this tikki in tomato ketchup or imli chutney is truly delightful for tastebuds.

So here is the complete recipe.

Serves: 12 patties


Main Ingredients

2 medium sized potatoes, boiled and mashed

200 grams shredded paneer

1 small cup of chopped methi leaves

1 medium sized onion, finely chopped

1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

3 sprigs coriander leaves, finely chopped

2 green chillies, finely chopped

1 teaspoon salt

For Frying

100 ml refined sunflower oil


Take a big bowl and add in all the ingredients and mix well.

Make lime size balls and gently press them into patties.

Heat oil in a pan until hot.

Place the patties and shallow fry on both sides until golden.

Remove the tikkis and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

Lunchbox Tip- Prepare the base for these tikkis, shape into small tikki and refrigerate overnight. Shallow fry the tikkis in the morning.

It can also be given as kabab with paratha for a filling meal.
